For our collection of diamond engagement rings, we only work with high-quality and durable materials. For example, all our rings are made of 18 carat recycled gold. In addition, every Aurore diamond is a lab-grown diamond . This is 100% genuine diamond, but mined in a laboratory above ground rather than deep below the earth's crust. Optically, qualitatively, aesthetically and in terms of (chemical) properties, diamonds from a mine or from a laboratory are exactly the same. The origin does not matter in that respect, but with laboratory diamonds we opt for an ecologically and ethically improved process. These lab-created diamonds are created by imitating the natural growth process. Just like with diamonds from a mine, every lab diamond is unique. However, the process is a lot more environmentally friendly, and lab-grown diamonds are also cheaper.
