What is the advantage of lab grown diamond rings?

Lab grown diamond rings are 100% real diamond! The lab-grown diamonds we use for Aurore rings have exactly the same composition (100% carbon), the same hardness (10/10) and the same beautiful brilliance as diamonds from a diamond mine. So the product is the same, only the quality of the lab-grown diamonds we use for our rings is often higher than average! But what are the main advantages of a lab-grown diamond ring? That is due to the ecological impact and the fact that you have a larger diamond for the same money!

Minimal impact on people and nature

We consider it most important to minimize the ecological and possible human toll that mining natural diamonds entails. Because there are no excavations, we minimize the impact on afforestation and thus the living environment for flora and fauna. We also know for sure that there are no abuses in the mines with working conditions for employees.
In addition to the direct impact of natural diamonds on people and the environment, lab-grown diamonds also have a lower CO2 footprint. The consumption to obtain 1 carat of lab-grown diamond for your ring or other piece of jewelery is lower for lab-grown diamonds than for natural diamonds. And we at Aurore are committed to improving this even further by, for example, using sustainable energy sources!

Price advantage lab grown diamond rings

It is well known that diamonds are extremely precious. This is partly due to the high costs of extracting the rare rock. 'Mining' a diamond in a laboratory is also not necessarily cheap because of the very expensive machines and knowledge required for this, but it is still a lot cheaper than mined diamonds. So you are ultimately 20% to 60% cheaper with the choice of a lab-grown diamond ring.

Are there any downsides to a lab-grown diamond ring?

There are actually only advantages to lab-grown diamonds; it is better for people and the environment, it is cheaper and the ring shines just as beautifully! It is and remains the beautiful result of a real craft of diamond cutters and goldsmiths.
